From beautiful and peaceful Ella we took the Bus to Katagarama, something about 4 hours in the Bus. Katagarama is situated in the south of Sri Lanka and is the start place for Jeep Safaris at the Yalle National Park. We arrived there little exhausted because of the bus ride and the heat. After finding a place to sleep, having dinner, which our Budget of 17 Euros per day suited, we discovered a big festival and ceremony in town. Being surprised and lucky to discover something really special, we joined this big event.
At 5 a.m. the next day we started to explore the Yalle National Park by car. For the first time in my life I saw Leopards, Water Baffelos, Crocodiles and a lot of diffrent birds. Wonderful Experience.
